Engineered Tissues for Discovery, Industry and Medicine (lifETIME)
lifETIME will train future research leaders in the development of novel technologies for drug discovery, toxicology testing and development of advanced therapeutic medicinal products for use in regenerative medicine.
Future Ultrasonic Engineering (FUSE)
A partnership between the Centre for Medical and Industrial Ultrasonics (C-MIU: University of Glasgow) and the Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering (CUE: University of Strathclyde), to create the largest academic ultrasonic engineering unit in the world.
Glasgow Doctoral School in Emerging Technologies (GD-SET)
All of our 3.5 year doctoral projects are in collaboration with high-tech industrial partners.
Glasgow-Maxwell School (GlaMS)
GlaMS pioneers training across the breadth of algebraic methods in mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry and Topology, and Mathematical Physics. We fuse algebraic methodology and expertise, building new algebraic structures both in mathematical abstraction and with a view to new applications.
Industry-Inspired Photonic Imaging, Sensing and Analysis
The centre will produce future business-oriented research leaders who are fluent in the concepts and methodologies of photonic sensing, imaging and analysis, enabling them to innovate and collaborate across all these areas.
Photonics and Advanced Data Storage (PIADS)
PIADS aims to tackle some of the challenges created by the increasing quantities of data generated by today's society. The Centre's focus is on developing highly-manufacturable photonic integration technologies related to the magnetic storage of digital information.
MRC Precision Medicine
PhD with Integrated Study studentships funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC), in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and the Karolinska Institute. This programme supports research training at the interfaces between biological, clinical, societal and computational systems.
Scottish Graduate School for the Arts and Humanities
